As children Arthur "Artie" was the bigger handful, always getting into things he shouldn't, picking fights with other students. Ellie,the quieter child, yet just as curious, went along with Arthur on backyard excursions.At the time of the divorce, Ellie was ten and Artie had recently turned twelve. In the year leading up to the divorce, the pair of siblings sat and comforted each other and did whatever they could to try and drown out the noise of their parents' arguments, including putting headphones on and blaring whatever music they could share. These were the years where she met a few friends who helped her love of music blossom. In her tween years she even learned guitar and piano from one of them.Since Artie was much further into schooling and Reagan had a career going, Ellie ended up in custody of her dad, who then moved her to the other side of the state to the town of Aurora. He’d found them a home in a trailer park, a two bedroom two bath mobile home with a shed and garage. Originally a temporary plan while he worked towards a promotion at his job, though that next move never happened.ㅤtween and teenage years:ㅤ ㅤbecause of the distance between households, shared custody was unfortunately difficult. ellie didn't get to see much of her mother or brother except for on holidays, then—with the additional complication of scheduling conflicts their time together became increasingly infrequent, and they drifted a bit. The less she saw her brother, the more ellie shrunk further into her shell over time. He’d been the one to push her to do things, brought her to his friend’s birthday parties, they’d shared so many toys and so many stories.ellie and her father had always got along for the most part until after the divorce. she began to see changes in her dad, he developed a short fuse and a drinking problem within the following couple years. he started to become a man ellie wasn’t so familiar with. As a result she spent a lot of time with her friends, staying out of the house as much as possible. she made a lot of dinners herself and kept herself going throughout the day while her dad was out either at work or at a local bar. whenever he was home, their little shed became her go-to spot of reprieve from his temperament.at around thirteen she received one of her most prized possessions: a guitar— an acoustic with a walnut-tone body, various celtic style carvings on the rosette and up the neck. this was given to her by one of her closest childhood best friends. She kept this hidden in her closet.ellie stayed interested in music and throughout school she was a part of the percussion section in her school's marching and concert bands and even won various awards. she did a lot of work on her own music, kept another prized possession hidden: a journal residing in her bedside drawer. pages full of lyrics and guitar chords.
at fifteen ellie got her first misdemeanor. charged for hotwiring a car with her new friend from australia.
a couple years later, due to the combination of her father’s behavior and her boyfriend’s attitude ellie resorted to music to distract herself from her problems and even closed herself off from a few friends throughout junior and senior year.ㅤyoung adulthood:ㅤ ㅤellie spent a lot of time on the road after moving out of her dad's house. she lived out of her jeep for a long while. a gap year was taken between graduation and her first year of college—time to find herself and where she wanted to be. She spent multiple years in college in pursuit of a degree in songwriting and music production. She eventually worked her way into teaching music at an elementary school with hopes to nurture the children’s love of music and confidence in their voices.

ㅤMAIN :ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ OPEN TO ALTERATIONS BASED ON PLOT. ㅤ ——— ㅤ between the ages of eighteen and nineteen ellie lives in a trailer park with her father where she grew up and has a small friend group that she hangs out with. further on in her timeline she lives on campus at university and is in pursuit of a master's in songwriting and music production. after uni she rents out a small studio apartment above a family owned mexican restaurant where she works as a hostess while trying to pursue music. now she can often be found playing instruments in her apartment or most likely she's somewhere with a pair of headphones over her ears. after college she ends up working as an elementary school music teacherㅤCELEBRITY VERSE:ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ OPEN TO ALTERATIONS BASED ON PLOT ㅤ ——— ellie's a rising rockstar! trading her small-town life in aurora, indiana for the busy streets of new york city, new york, ellie is pursuing her love of music. she begins her journey as the drummer for a small band lydia and the lylax. following the release of their first album wildfire the band goes on a tour in surrounding states, post-tour the band splits due to a huge disagreement between the lead singer and lead guitarist. ellie is once again on her own. one night at a local music competition, she is recruited to sunstone records where they refine her image and talent. soon, she releases her debut self-titled album which ends up being a hit. she must learn to cope with her anxiety and flocking paparazzi while promoting her work. later on in her career, she releases the albums orange skies and cloudy days. her stage name becomes ellie jade, referred to as el j by her fanbase who call themselves the gems. her music is a mix of olivia rodrigo, florence + the machine, clinton kane, and taylor swift with more of a heavy rock influence.ㅤOUTERBANKS :ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ OPEN TO ANY SEASON ㅤ ——— ㅤ ellie was considered a kook up until her parents divorced when she was ten, staying with her dad led her to quickly join the pogue life. her dad lives in a small, coastal-style home in the cut and fixes boats for a living. she has general knowledge of how boats run along with cars to an extent because of that. as for employment, she gives music lessons to various people in obx and helps heyward with deliveries whenever he needs. additionally, in her pursuit of music, she performs at local bars and other places from time to time.ㅤTHE HUNGER GAMES :ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ OPEN TO ANY MOVIE. ㅤ ——— ㅤ Eleanor Owens was born and raised in District 10. In her younger years, she lived with her mom, dad, and older brother Arthur. When Ellie was around ten, her parents started to fight more often. They’d blame their anger on the stress of living conditions, yet still unleashed it upon each other. Ellie and Arthur spent those years comforting and taking care of each other. Eventually, her mother moved back in with her parents, Arthur went with her since the home was closer to his place of work.
Ellie’s father got worse, spending more time out at night. Ellie learned to be independent earlier than most. She did her own trades at the market, made her own dinners when there was food. She distracted herself by focusing on the animals, despite the warnings, she’d name them, get herself attached. Her and Artie made time for each other when they weren’t busy, in fear of losing the connection they had.
At age 16 Ellie was reaped for the 67th hunger games alongside a boy, Duke, one year younger than herself. She didn’t know him well since he lived in a different part of the district and worked in one of the slaughterhouses. The only time she’d really talked to him was when they were both shaking off some stress at The Barnyard一an abandoned building that’s been taken over by some folks and turned into a place to dance and drink with some live music in the back.
After spending some time with Duke, Ellie had plans to team up with him. Hoping his skills from work could give them an advantage in the arena. She was proven wrong. He died at the cornucopia,trying to use more time than he had to get supplies. Ellie’s instinct had been the opposite, she ran down the streets of the abandoned town. Buildings and homes everywhere except the circle where the cornucopia lay, mimicking the look of a town square, along with a small forest nearby. While hiding out in one of said buildings, she’d managed to indirectly take out two tributes, using the faulty architecture to her advantage.
When there were three tributes left, land outside of the town square began to burn, the wooden buildings and landscape no longer safe. This pushed the remaining tributes toward the center. One tribute didn’t even make it near the center. The other, a girl from district 2, had caught up with Ellie but couldn’t escape the fire in time. Ellie’s shirt had snagged on a burning bush and caught fire but another cannon went off and rain extinguished it. Though fairly wounded, she’d survived. Eleanor Owens was the victor of the sixty-seventh hunger games.
After winning, the capital found out about her talent for singing, she was consequently given lessons in various instruments and discovered a natural talent for music. president snow turned her into an artist for the capital, requiring her to perform at various parties. she was reaped for the third quarter quell, and joined the rebellion.
Depending on the story, she either makes it to thirteen or is taken by the capitol during the quarter quell.ㅤSUPER POWERS:ㅤ After high school graduation, Ellie's on the road, alone, traveling wherever her heart takes her. She wants to be anywhere except her hometown in Indiana. Over the course of almost a year she travels through quite a few states. Spends weeks at a time in certain cities when she can. While spending time in a small town in Virginia, she is chatted up by people she believes to be just friendly locals. Then a couple nights later, on her way to her motel, she's kidnapped and taken to a lab. A couple years later, she escapes, changed. She can manipulate fire and is resistant to its qualities.
